Why “Emona?”

To quote directly from the main Emona Literary Services websites (where you can find more specific information about my rates, services, and previously publications:

“Emona” is the name of the ancient Roman fort that eventually became Ljubljana, capital of Slovenia, the country my family is originally from.

As both a Classicist and a Slovenian-Canadian, the choice to name my business Emona Literary Services is therefore meaningful to me in multiple ways — and I want the work I do with Emona Literary Services to be meaningful to my clients.

Also, since Ljubljana’s emblem is a dragon, I have an excuse to put dragons all over this site…
